

Biography of Reed Christensen
Reed and Myra came to Oregon with their five children in 1989 after he completed a Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering. For the past 30 years they have lived in the Hillsboro area, raising their family while being active in their church and community.
Reed worked on processor design teams for Intel Corporation for 25 years, including the first server capable design and mathematics optimized designs used in supercomputers.
In 2001 Reed left Intel for five years to found a software startup that specialized in an engineering tool for protocol creation and testing.
Reed retired from Intel in May 2021.
Reed served as an active duty Army officer from 1983 to 1987. After officer basic course he went with his family to Germany for a four year tour to be the Signal officer for a Mechanized Infantry Battalion. After active duty he served another four years in the National Guard and Army Reserves. Reed has been involved in politics starting when he was elected to a precinct position while in college and helped to nominate Ronald Reagan. He has been active in the Washington County Republican Party and served on the Executive committee as party secretary from 2018 to 2021.
